Foggy Days

Hi Happy Bloggers, well l dont know what the weathers up to where you live, but for the last week here, we are having a funny old spring, we've had it all, sunshine, rain and the fog has been coming and going all day for the last few days in a row, perfect days for scrapp'in and getting cards done, but thats means no outside work for me, l still have weeds to pull and mulch to gett on the garden, oh well l suppose the sun will shine again soon, check out the photo l took from our back door yesterday morning, the day was clear when l got up , but by 11.15 it was like this.

And it got worse, Anyway l finally finshed the scrapp'in l had left to do on this side of my tree, folders done, pages done and Census records done.............yay.

This is my pa's brother joe, his baby photo was done in my last post, here he is with his 3 daughters, the paper is older paper l had left from Kaiser and so are the rubons, tags are from my minds eye.

This is a folder l made for a letter l had given to us , it is a letter that my great grandmother wrote to all her children before she died, thanking them for everything that she had done for her, my what  a treasure this letter is, just to see her hand writing and knowing that she is grateful for all that was done for her, in one part of the letter, she states, that she has nothing to leave them but love and memories, l think that is just so wonderful, its really not about the material things in life,..... is it,... for me and many other scrappers its about keeping memories of those loved and gone before us alive , to pass on to next generations to come. ..I dont like scrappin these documents like a normal page, so l make folders and pop the paperwork inside, its a much nicer way to look at it, l used more Miss Nellie papers and the stamps, it didnt have to be anything fancy, but l love the way it turned out, l think it is just so Sophia,  here is a peek at the letter.

And last l have a page on  one of her daughters May, she is with her nephew Billy when he was in the Navy.

Dont you just love this prima paper, sorry the photos a bit dark, the butterflies are fussy cut also from prima paper, and then l have used one of my new stamp sets from Stamp'in Up called  'Field Flowers'  and once again all up Stamp'in up inks matched the papers beautifully, Well thats all lve got for you today,  l have cards to make for class on friday, which l can show you soon, and now l can start the next lot of stories and pages on my grandparents...........cheers kate xxx
