Welcome to 2012

Happy New Years to everybody, hope you all had a safe and joyous time with family and friends, and l suppose some are now back at work. we had a lovely break and caught up with lots of family, and after christmas l was able to get lots of page pockets done to try and finish off all my 2011 scraping, l scraped 22 pages and have 6 left to do, ......what a marathon , but l just wanted to get it out of the way so l can start my new mission for this year, and that is called Project Life, lm sure most of you have heard of it, if not go check out the website of the wonderful Becky Higgins who has created the most wonderful way of scrap'in, it can be anything you want it to be, you can keep it simple or you can add your own personal style to it.....up to you, see Becky here at www.beckyhiggins.com
How this sort of works is some, people scrap 1 photo a day and others weekly or monthly, adding them into pockets, Beckys kit supplies all the decorative cards to keep your pages looking all pretty or you can make your own small pages to add to your pockets, or you can mix it all up, and thats what lm doing, just using bits and bobs from my stash and also using Beckys pre made cards............sooooooooo easy.
As l said alot of ladies use their Project Life to do a photo a day, but l will most likely be doing mine in a weekly fashion and if l dont get it done weekly, then thats no stress either, my aim this year is to take more of the everyday pictures of our life and document our story, sort of like a weekly journal, lm so looking forward to be doing my scrap'in this way ....this year, l will post my pages as soon as l have them done,  lm sticking with using my white American Craft D- ring album instead of using Beckys matching album which comes with her kit , if you want to buy it,  so here is my album with my title page, l also took a pic of the front of the box that it all arrived in and popped it in the front slot of the album.

Here's my title page...........

and l'll show you all the pockets seperately.

the first pocket l've used one for Beckys filler cards and placed a Stamp'in up Top note die to sit on top, with some rub on's from Kaiser craft and 7 Gypsies , the red letters are American craft thickers and the others and the postcard stamp are Stamp'in up.
Another of Becky's cards and l've just made a banner and used  2 different rub ons from Kaiser craft anf fancy pants.
the next pocket lve used 2 of the filler cards and added stamps from Stamp'in  up , a strip with a Ali Edwards stamp and also 7 gyspies.
across the middle are 4  3x4 pockets for photos or fillers,  even though their are 4 chlidren in our family , l only put the two boys that are living at home at the moment and a pic of me and david on the title page and our other 2 children will be added when  l see them to get photos as they live 2 1/2 hours  away.
these 2 3x4 pockets are 2 of the filler cards, where l just added a photo to one and  a die cut butterfly from Stamp'in up with the number 6 to represent the members of our famliy.
and the last one is a filler card with 2 rub ons from Scrapbook King and Fancy Pants.
Next week l will post Week 1 of  of Project life and some of my favorite recent pockets that l did to wrap up 2011.......is anyone else doing Project Life     ?, l'd love to follow your pages,  maybe you can leave  a comment...........hope your all enjoying the start to the new year, may it be full of joy and happiness..............kate xx
