PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 16 & MORE
Hi there to everyone, hope you all have been enjoying your week, its been another busy week here, not really doing much but enjoying playing with new goodies and trying to get some extra layouts and projects finished, so not a big PL this week, but l am adding in the layouts lve done .
Last week in my PL l took a pic of a frame that hangs above my bed, and l had interest from Alexa for a better look, so will be adding that in as well, its just a simple photo frame that lve had for a long time, which l revamped about 6 months ago , all l did was take out the matting board and painted it a aqua sort of colour, painted some scrap letters and added some cardstock behind the letters, at the time the aqua was fitting into the colour of things in my room, but l really was'nt sure, so l left it and l thought it would grow on me, so 6 months on l happen to find the large @ letter that l scrapped about last week also and that changed everything, l didnt really need to do to much, but the aqua did have to go, it was a simple process of just taking out the mat board and repainting it black, and lm so happy with it and the way it looks with the dark browny - black colour of my bed, and think its so much more me, well at the moment anyway, so at the end of the post you can check it out.
Now getting back to my PL week, the first page is just a few of my favourite things this week, the changing colours of Autumn leaves, not really the best shot , favourite show at the moment is THE VOICE, that keith Urban is so so hot, and l love his music, l have 5 of his cds, must to my hubby disgust, he likes something a little bit heavier, his still living in the 70's and 80's,also scrapped my new MY MINDS EYE PRODUCTS and AMY TANGERINE LETTERS, so thanks to Kylie for always getting great scrap goodness for me, and this weekend l have worked at finishing a quilt that l designed last year, l wanted to do a quilt on spring , my favourite month, l was born in spring, l feel Spring is full of so much happiness, l love that everything is new again, more sunshine after the winter months and new things popping up in the garden, so now its all done , and the second page l dedicated to the great ship the Titanic which was not so unsinkable, it was 100 years last week that this tragic event happened and really should have been in last weeks PL , but l had already done 2 inserts and 2 double pages, it would have been overload, so l added it this week instead, so here goes.
As much as l love doing PL, lve been missing doing my larger layouts, this are the last 2 pages for one of my family tree albums
This is my uncle , who is now nearly 80, he was abt 2 years old when this was taken, and the next one is my pa with his sisters, not long before he died

PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 15
Hi everyone, welcome to PL week 15, l must warn you now, that this is another large post, l have done 2 double pages and 2 inserts, my week started out with working on my PL as l do , depending on what we have on , sunday or monday are my days for PL, then a bit of gardening and general clean up around the house, David had all the the week off and on thursday we drove to my sisters place to drop off some stuff for her shop and to paint a couple of signs for her, At the moment l am still doing bits on my family tree and since we were in the area l got david to drive past my grandparents house, which l have'nt seen in about 40 years, l thought it would be nice to grab a couple of recent photos to compare to one taken in the 60's.
My nan and pa brought this house in 1958 and it was the first house that they ever owned and also the first house with power and water, nan was 48 when they brought it , its so hard to imagine not having things that we take for granted everyday.
Nan called her home ROSEWOOD LODGE and when we pulled up at the driveway there was the sign, still called Rosewood Lodge, lm sure that would make my nan so happy, and the place has been well looked after and has'nt gone to rack and ruin.
This week l also have roses from my garden, nearly the end of the Autumn flush, other bits lve scrapped about is the liitle change in my bedroom and all because l brought the letter @ at a shop, the next couple of pages are on a car swap meet that we go to every year, that Davids love, besides me of course( lol), we both love vintage stuff and his dream one day is to have a vintage car of his own.
So here we go
Well what a marathon that seemed to be, l hope you enjoyed my week and had a great one yourself, and we will see you all for week 16........

PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 14
Hello and Happy Easter to everyone, l hope you all got lots of chocolate and are having a wonderful break, but on to PL, week week lve spent time in the garden, trimming hedges , potting up some Viola's, they are the beautiful orange and purple, l've taken pics of my Japanese windflowers, one of my many David Austin roses and my most favourite garden book 'VELVET PEARS', this book is a must for anyone that loves gardening, and is about a lady who makes arces of her land into the most beautiful garden l have ever seen, its been written in a sort of diary form, l suppose its similar to our blogs ,she goes into detail of family events, recipes, spending time in her garden and how it all came about, all with the most beautiful pictures.
This week, l found my first Strawberry, our second second Josh and his girlfriend Jess came home for the weekend, it was so nice to have all the boys together, and capture a photo of josh and Brody together, and on Sunday it was Easter, even with our eldest being 25, todd still wanted to hunt for his eggs, so josh wanted to join in as well, but Brody was just happy to get a box of chocolates, This week l've used lots of things from my stash and it would'nt be me if l didnt add some stamps, so here we go for this week.
So all in all it was a great week, but there is more work in the garden to do and it was just wonderful having most of our family for Easter, l hope everybody is still enjoying this as much as l am, love sitting down on sunday afternoon putting it all together, working out what lm going to use and what story lm going to tell, PL is just the best.

PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 13
Hi there to all the Project lifers and welcome to another fun filled week of photos and documentation, this week was a bit slow for me and l could of taken more photos, but l either forgot or was a bit busy - what is they say - LIFE HAPPENS, On Saturday night we had friends over for tea which ened up being a very late night, but lots of laughs, l didnt sleep very well that night - l think from being over tried so Sunday was a bit of a fizzer for me, l couldnt seem to get my PL right this week, l kept making mistake after mistake, so l put it aside and thought l'd work on it Monday - so roll on Monday and my head felt a bit clearer, but l still seemed to struggle a bit putting it all together this week.
So my week was , Ali's stamps arriving in the mail, making scones to take to meditation and l didnt even get them right either, made a wedding card for Julie, picked flowers from my garden, had friends over for a meal, added some journaling on the end of day light savings and the photo of the man walking down the street is my pa. this pic was taken in the 1930 in Melbourne, he was born 1st April 1912 and had he been alive today he would have been 100, so here are this weeks pages, and shock horror there is no insert or added extras- dont know what l was thinking , l suppose l can have one slack week.
well l hope everyone had a great week and heres looking forward to taking more fun pics this week to share with you all, thanks for looking, thanks for sharing and dont forget to leave me a comment, l love to hear from you all.......cheers

PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 12
Hi and a big welcome to week 12, this week l have a huge post of photos to share, l have done 8 pages, WOW , our daughter turned 21 this week, and as part of her present she wanted to swim with the dolphins and seals, so we booked with a company at Sorrento called Moonraker tours and off we went, l went along as a sightseer and david and kirsty did the swimming, it was a 2 1/2 hour trip to get there, the weather was'nt the best, cold and windy, but it was a great expirence. We were a bit unlucky and didnt get to swim with the dolphins , even though we got to see them jumping in and out of the water, a fishing boat and sunk in the bay earlier that morning and 30,000 litres of oil had washed into the bay, so the dolphins were swimming closer to the shore line to keep away from it, so it just was'nt possible to get into the water, but where the seals were at what they call the Chinamans Hat, where all the male seals live, was further away from the spill and eveybody was able to get in and swim, the seals were amazing, as soon as the boat pulled up, the younger seals all started to jump into the water, as if they knew they had friends to play with, they were so friendly, so here are my pages, the start of my week , l went on a teddy bears picnic and of course we had to take a bear, l took Annie, a bear l made about 10 years ago, this l am hoping to be a family heirloom that l can pass down to one of my grandchildren one day, when they come along,
This week l have used a insert from We R Memory Keepers and also a 8 1/2 x11 insert as well and style A from Becky, l included heaps of items from my stash, paper is from MY MINDS EYE 6x6 paper pads, lots of rubons this week from different companys, and most of the tags l used are from MME, l love that the WRM pages have a long strip down the side , just under 2", and is great for headings or to crop smaller pics and the use of smaller tags, on this page are pics of Sorrento, we had fish and chips on the beach before we went on the boat,
here lve done a 8x6 photo of one of the seals, l dont know if you can see it or not, but it looks like he was posing for me and his mouth is open , so it looks like he is smiling, it kept it simple, by just adding a few tags and a few stamps from Ali Edwards, gotta love that photo strip of hers.
here lve used another 6x8 photo of david and kirsty on the pier, the paper and large tag and brad are MME, the ticket stamp is from Tim Holtz, a stamp from Ali and celebration tag from 7 GYPSIES.
This page l had to add, on the way home we got stuck in roadworks, we were so tired and hungry and just wanted to get home and then we got stuck in this, David thought l was mad , taking photos of the signs and cars, but l think it was still part of our everyday life exprience, so l added it. and now a few close ups.
So there you have chickens, another week done and dusted, lm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has come up with, one of the things l love about PL is that its global and everyone is at different stage of seasons and we get to expirence their snow pics when we are having summer and now we are getting into our cooler months and overseas is starting to warm up, so while we are taking Rustic Autumn pics , we get to see the start of your spring, with all the beautiful spring flowers poping up in your pages, l love flower pics, anyway have a good week everybody, see you soon.
