PROJECT LIFE- WEEK 21

Hi all, well here we are at week 21, and life's moving quickly, it wont be long and we will be half way through the year, where does the time go,this weeks spread starts off with my new love, WASHI TAPE, lve seen many girls use this and really haven't been sure if it was really me, but after seeing some at Make-a Page this week l thought l'd give it a go, well l'm just lov'in this stuff, and dont know how l've managed to go without it for so long, l brought 2 packets, a tim Holtz and Hambly studios and used it all through my pockets this week, l hope its not overload- LOL.
Other parts of my week included running my son back and forth to the doctors and physio, after he hurt his back at work, and more happy scrap news when my little package of goodness turned up from America from Nicole Reaves with her stamps, so l kept her packaging because l so loved what she had put on the back - HOORAY FOR HAPPY MAIL.
This week lve included a insert with a pic of me and my scrap'in friend Kylie, she has a scrap business just around the corner from me and on Tuesday has a open day, just wrote some journalling on how grateful l am for her, she is always happy to get prouducts l need and Tuesday is a great day to catch up with Lyn and Ann who also go there to scrap, and l was dying to use my new paper pack from Echo Park , called NOTE TO SELF, lovin that, on the back of the insert is about a card l made for a very old friend , who's mother had passed during the week.
Page 2 - lve had this home tin for quite a long time and l store larger scrap tools in and it was only the other day that l noticed what the smaller writing said, HOME IS WHERE OUR STORY BEGINS, well how true is that, also wanted to add a quote this week, my mum has and still has quotes all over the house, so we have been brought up on them, l love how they really make you think, so lve added one from Helen Keller this week, also added a little conversation David and l had and popped in a pic of us with a love transparency, and added in my docket from my pre-paid phone, so that was another wonderful week at my home, cant wait to see what everybody else has been up to, have a great week and enjoy the pics.
Thanks for looking- leave a comment, l'd love to hear from you........cheers

PROJECT LIFE - WEEK 20

Hi all, here we are at week 20 already, when has the time gone, its getting colder here and only a week off from winter and its really starting to feel like it too, l think our autumn has been mild ,so l hope our winter is too, so moving on to PL, not much happening here this week, lve not really worked too much on my quilt , but must get back to that, lve been doing some scrapping instead, trying to catch up on childhood photo on me and the other half, l felt l really struggled with doing the larger layouts this week and wasnt entirely happy with the way they turned out, l think l was in such a hurry to get them done that my mind wasn't on the job, but oh well, they will have to do. This week l used some large Making Memories Number on my title page, just love them and on the oppisite side l used a transparency, l brought these a long time ago from spotlight, l think they might be from the Bella range, not sure, but l so do love the way it looks, happy with that. This week lve been lighting the fire late in the afternoon, this is our dog gus's most favorite spot , lve added a tag from Echo Park that say I COULD'NT BE HAPPIER - this is so true about him, he would lay in front of the heater all day if he could. Added one of the dvds we watched on the weekend, l didnt think it was that good, so l made notes on that on more Echo park journal card. This week lve also done a bit of embossing on my photos, l love doing this , the embossing does not always turn out the way it should, but l dont mind a little bit of the rustic look here and there, the embossed photo is from the t.v week mag and circled is my favorite friday night show, Escape to the country, every week after watching it l dream of one day living in some old converted barn with a beautiful cottage garden, well maybe one day and then theres notes on that and Saturday night.
Now onto the second page, my bedside table with the books l am reading, one on the war and one on the second last women to be hung in England, a bit of embossing on the book pic with one of Ali's stamps and 2 more squares on the family tree quilt, these are the names of one set of my great grand parents on my mums side, ALBERT AND MARGARET, and a bit of info on them Albert sailed as a one year old on a boat from England to AUSTRALIA in the 1860's with his parents and siblings, so nice to have a bit of info on them , but l would love to know more about their everyday life.
l dont know if anyone else has been having troble with blogspot, for some reason my profile has dissapeared from its usual spot and now lives at the bottom of my comments space, l dont know how that happened and lm not sure on how to get it back in the right spot, so sorry about the werid page, lm hoping that when l publish this post it might come back , if not l will have to go to plan B and see if l can get someone to fix it, well anyway thats all from me, have a great week everybody......cheers

PROJECT LIFE- WEEK 19

Here we are at week 19 and a happy mothers day to everybody and l hope you all were spolied, l had lovely day and scrapped for some of it , trying to get some pages done on my childhood years, and also worked on PL. This week for me was a bit of spring cleaning in Autumn . l
This week l caught the culprit who has been eating the fruit off our tree, cleaning and sorting out old Creating Keepsake mags and putting all my favourite pages into binders, so l also made a pocket page all about Ali, some of the mags l had date back to 2005, so l made a binder all on AE STUDIO, GOTTA LOVE THAT ali edwards and all her talent, the other folders are on becky Higgins and other fav's, the 81 stands for all the mags l had to sort through, and a pic of the tree lined street in our town, l added a basic grey autumn rubon to that.
Mothers day packaging was also added this week, 2 of my kids gave me a gift voucher and l was able to buy some much needed cosy pj's and new slippers, also a pic of the sun peaking through in the early hours of the morning and on Saturday night we watched Puss in boots, what a funny movie, gotta love that cat, so thats another week done, still lov'in this project so much, hope everyone else is too.

PROJECT LIFE - WEEKS 17 & 18

Hi all, well lm back for weeks 17 and 18, last weeks PL was ready to load and then l realized there wasn't enough downloads left, the kids had used up everything, NOT HAPPY, but anyway we are now back on track, Week 17 wasn't a big week as l have been busy will other projects and forgot to take everyday pics, so l did a spread on my family tree Quilt that lm making, when l journaled about it on my card l had added up the couples of the main tree, as in parents , grt grandparents , grt grt grandparents and so on through the lineage of the family and got the total of 33 couples, then this week l realized l had forgoten a few and the total is now 48 couples that we have traced back on both sides of mum and dads family, all these names are being embroided onto the quilt, the quilt at the moment runs the lenght of my queen bed, so lm thinking now with all the names that l have , l will have to to front and back with the names instead of just a normal material backing, this is now turning into a bigger project than l first thought, but a wonderful family keepsake to pass down to the family, so anyway getting back to scrapbooking , that is part of week 17, the next insert is a 8x12 page on the most beautiful rainbow that appeared at the back of our house on the monday afternoon, l've always wanted to capture a rainbow and have been unlucky till now, l haven;t done anything on the back of this 8x12, as lm waiting to get more info on the Lone Pine tree that was planted in Romsey back in 1971, the seed came all the way from Gallipoli and once established was planted in the memory of all the fallen and returned servicemen, l dont know how everyone else in the world celebrate there servicemen, but in Australia, we celebrate ANZAC DAY on the 25th of April, this event is now bigger than Australia day, God bless all these men who fought for own country, so l did a little spread on that as well, so here are the picks.
Now on to week 18, still busy stitching and so l thought it would be nice to take some pics on some of the things l love in my house, also some garden stuff, my garden is still blooming away, and cant believe how much its still flowering at this time of the year, we are only 4 weeks away from winter and l still have a garden full of roses and daises, and the next page is on my new ironing job, its been really hard to find work at the moment, so lm doing some ironing for other people, its not everyones cup of tea, but at the moment it suits me and fits into my daily routine, and also one of my pet hates - cleaning the bathroom, scrub scrub scrub, but l do love it when its done, but l do have to really and l mean really have to motivate myself to do it., so theres another week done ------ YIPP'EE
This is my rustic french teapot, dont know if its meant to be for a plant, but l so love my ivy growing through it.
other things l love in my house is my huge blackboard, l would be lost without it,l also love anything about nature and hearts, so here are a few more things in my house.
the letters on the canvas is something l made a while back, l just glued some newspaper and music print onto the canvas and stuck on this huge letters from making memories, and painted the side black, the leters are for each of our children.
YAY----- lve finished, sorry if its been PL overload, see you all next week, Week 19 can you beleive it.
